On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Madam Edwina Crump Zackpah, our dynamic chairperson, along with Commissioners Hon. Isreal Akinsanya (Government & Consumers Affairs), Hon. Zotawon Titus (International Gateway Service), and Hon. James Gbarwea (Engineering & Technology), held a highly productive meeting with Cllr. Worlea-Saywah Dunah, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, at his Postal Affairs Office in Monrovia. The meeting primarily focused on the significance of telecommunications and covered important areas such as ICT policy, the upcoming Liberia Digital Transformation Project (LDTP), and the Personal Data Protection Act, among other topics.

During the meeting, Chair Zackpah and the Commissioners seized the opportunity to address the existing challenges faced by the sector and explore potential opportunities for future growth. The discussions aimed to stimulate national progress and drive Liberia’s digital advancement.

Minister Dunah shared invaluable insights and demonstrated his extensive experience in the sector. His contributions during the meeting were greatly appreciated and provided valuable guidance.

Meanwhile, Chair Zackpah, along with the Commissioners, remains resolute in their commitment to the shared vision of a digitally empowered Liberia. They are working collaboratively to launch the Liberia Digital Transformation Project and implement comprehensive policies, including the forthcoming Personal Data Protection Act. These initiatives hold the promise of establishing a secure and inclusive digital environment for all Liberians while also fostering sustainable economic growth.
